I’ve Got My Salvation, Even In My Dreams

August 2nd, 2010 by under Living in Grace. No Comments.

I didn’t attend church camp this year, but it’s time for my yearly blog entry.

The other night I had a dream.  I guess you could probably call it a nightmare.

My husband, youngest son and I were in a bedroom, sitting on a couch.

We were being held hostage.

I don’t know why.

There was a man with a pistol.  He held the gun to my forehead, right between my eyes.

In my dream I told myself, “Don’t be afraid.  If he kills me, I’m going to heaven because my I’ve got my salvation and I can never lose it.

I was very scared due to the situation, but I willed myself to be calm.

It helped a lot to know that I know where I’m going when I die.

Then I woke up.

And I realized I’ve got this grace message into the core of my being.  After growing up in the superstitious Pentecostal religion, that’s saying a lot.

Thank you Jesus for the work you did on the cross to save me from my sins and guarantee my salvation.
